Advantages

Disadvantages

1. Limited Heat Resistance
   The heat resistance temperature of PETG is relatively low, generally around 70°C–80°C. When the temperature exceeds this range, the material may deform and its performance will be affected to a certain extent, which limits its application in high-temperature environments.
2. Higher Price
   Compared with some common plastic materials such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), the production cost of PETG is higher, resulting in a relatively high market price. This increases the production cost of products to a certain extent and affects its wide application in some cost-sensitive fields.
3. Insufficient Rigidity
   The hardness and rigidity of PETG are relatively low. Compared with some engineering plastics, products made of it are prone to deformation or collapse when under greater pressure or weight, so it is not suitable for occasions with high requirements for rigidity.
